Title: Working Moms: Addressing Guilt, Shame, and Negative Self-Talk
Date: Wednesday, April 19, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time – Duration: 1 hour
This presentation will begin on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
Audience members may arrive 15 minutes in advance of this time.
Join Rosemary O’Connor, working mom, life coach, and author of A Sober Mom’s Guide to Recovery, to discuss the unique challenges faced by working mothers, especially those in recovery from alcohol or other drug addiction.
Many working moms feel tremendous guilt about not having enough time or energy to give to their children, spouse, or other family members. Women-especially those in recovery–may also burden themselves with self–defeating feelings of shame and negative self-talk.
Learn tips and practices to help the working moms you counsel, with a focus on techniques for improving emotional health and overall mental wellbeing. You will gain practical wisdom to apply in your own life as well.
Dr. Merritt will be moderating a panel of leading addiction experts with focus on care navigation: Howard Kornfeld, M.D., Rosemary O’Connor, C.P.C., David E. Smith, M.D., and Kristina Wandzilak, C.A.S. Follow the below link for more information and to sign up.
